Every LET sun sail is individually designed, manufactured in our own workshop and precisely tailored to the architecture, intended use and weather conditions. History
The The story of LET Sunshades is the story of an idea: Rethinking sunshades – technically, design-wise and sustainably. What began as a electrical engineer has grown into one of the leading manufacturers of electrically retractable sunshades in the German-speaking world.
2000 | The beginning
Franz Lerchner, an electrical engineer, was asked by a friend who makes sails whether it would be possible to electrify a sun sail.Franz set about implementing the idea – but his first prototype did not convince him.C2 This realisation marked the beginning of LET SunSail. Franz wanted more: a product that was technically well-designed, durable, attractive and easy to use.
2005 | The Breakthrough
Mechanical engineer Rudolf Steiner joined the company.20Together with Franz he developed the technology that laid the foundations for LET s success:

2018 | Digital Consulting
Franz Lerchner had a clear objective:

2019
With Christian Loidl , a new entrepreneurial dynamic was brought to the company. Initially as a consultant, later as an equal partner. Together with Franz, he took LET to the next level – structurally, organisationally and strategically. The company grew. The brand was strengthened. And LET developed into the leading provider of premium sunshades in the DACH region.
2021
In recognition of this innovative strength and its clear commitment to integrity, LET was honoured with theJulius Award from the Upperösterreich –– as an innovative leading company and a strong employer in the region.
