Sun sail for the kindergarten in Malgersdorf
In the garden of the Malgersdorf kindergarten, children play in the sand – and need shade while they do. A colourful sun sail now spans the sand play area and turns the hot spot into a place where people like to stay.
Colour above the sandpit
Blue, yellow and red bring colour to the garden. The sail lies at an angle above the sand play area, the stainless-steel fittings are neatly made, and the children have room to play beneath it.
A made-to-measure sun sail – for the kindergarten's play area
The sun sail spans the sand play area freely and shades the seating generously without cluttering the area with parasol stands.
Operation is electric: the sail extends and retracts at the push of a button. Putting parasols up and taking them down is a thing of the past.
Slim masts, stainless-steel fittings and a colourful fabric recede visually. The surroundings stay in the foreground.
Every sail is made to measure – designed, sewn and installed in Austria and tuned exactly to the area.
The sail protects against fierce sun and keeps the area comfortably usable even on hot days.
The fabric is water-repellent. In light rain the area stays usable; when heavier weather moves in, the sail is retracted and safely stowed.
Wind-stable up to wind force 7 (50–61 km/h): when wind picks up, the sail is retracted and safely stowed.
How robust is the fixing?
The cable winch and fittings are made of stainless steel and firmly connected to the mast. The sail can be retracted when wind picks up and is protected that way. In a kindergarten day, what counts is that nothing stands in the way – and that everything holds.
