An electrically retractable LET sun sail spans the roof terrace of Palfinger in The HUB Vienna. It makes the terrace above the rooftops of Vienna usable on sunny days, and its slim stainless-steel parts blend into the architecture.

The sun sail is made to measure for this terrace: shape, tension and fixing points are matched to the building.
On the facade, slim stainless-steel brackets hold the masts and tension cables. The technology stays reduced and does not distract from the view.
The sail retracts electrically: it extends in sunshine and rolls back in when you want an open sky.
The sail fabric blocks heat and UV radiation densely and keeps the terrace pleasant even on hot days.
Installation took place with a crane and a team working securely at height. That way even a roof terrace gets a clean, stable solution.
Installation took place in stages: first the crane lifted the foil-wrapped masts onto the roof, then the team fixed the brackets to the facade, aligned the masts and tensioned the cables. Finally the sail was attached and tensioned.

Masts and fittings are fixed in stainless steel to the facade. On this terrace a crane lifted the masts onto the roof while the installation team worked securely roped in.
Our sun sails are wind-stable up to wind force 7 (50–61 km/h).
The sail fabric blocks heat and UV radiation densely.
After the consultation we capture the situation via a digital visit, entirely without an on-site appointment. You get a 5-year manufacturer warranty if the service intervals are observed, otherwise 2 years.
