LET wins the audience vote at Heinze ArchitekTOUR
Project: restaurant “Of Eden” in Berlin
On 14 October 2026, Heinze ArchitekTOUR PROJECTS26 brought architects and planners to the Kleine Olympiahalle in Munich for a day of project presentations and guided tours. It was LET Sonnensegel’s first time taking part. It ended with the vote for “Project of the Day”.
In total, 59 projects were up for election: 32 from exhibiting companies and 27 from architecture practices. Around 200 visitors voted on site.
The “Project of the Day” award went to LET Sonnensegel.

The winner was “Of Eden” in Berlin, a restaurant terrace on the Spree shaded by LET Sonnensegel with electrically retractable Doppeldreieck sails.
The project was planned by architect Dorothee Spitz.

A product that fits into the design
Since 1999, LET Sonnensegel has built one product only in Upper Austria: made-to-measure, electrically retractable sun sails. Motor and spring mechanism sit inside the roller, so the sail stays taut in every position and retracts by itself in strong wind.
Planning starts with a digital consultation by video and a 3D shade plan. “Project of the Day” confirms LET’s approach of developing sun sails together with planners and architects.
