Adjusting the end positions of the sun sail using the remote control
With electrically operated awnings, it may be necessary to reset the end positions. In the following article, we show you how easy it is to delete and save new end positions. Please print out and use our PDF guide to carry out the adjustment.
What is meant by an end position?
In the field of sun protection, the term ‘end position’ is always used in relation to motorised systems. It defines how far a motor extends or retracts a roller shutter, a blind or, as in our case, an awning. It therefore defines both end points – fully retracted and fully extended. These positions are stored in the motor’s ‘memory’.
Why do the limit switches need to be reset?
Power cuts, lightning strikes or other incidents can cause the motor to lose track of where the limit switches are. Although this happens only occasionally, it can easily be fixed without the need for a technician.
