Bespoke sun sail
Every element of the sun sail was planned and made individually. Shape, tension and orientation are matched precisely to the architecture, use and path of the sun. From a distance the sail looks almost invisible, as the taut fabric tension underlines the lightness of the solution and keeps the architecture to the fore.
The sun sail not only shields the terrace but deliberately reduces heat build-up indoors. So the living room stays comfortably cool even on hot days, without keeping the blinds permanently shut. At the same time the system protects against sun and light rain and extends the outdoor space into a fully usable living area.
Design concept
The solution is a made-to-measure sun sail tailored exactly to the setting. Three fixing points on the building and one precisely placed stainless-steel post create a pared-back, clean structure. The post was core-drilled directly into the marble surface and blends discreetly into the overall picture.

At the touch of a button or via smart home, the sun sail flexibly protects from sun and light rain – at a barbecue you simply stay seated rather than head indoors. The wind sensor dispels any early doubts about wind: in strong wind the sail retracts on its own, with nothing to remember. Retracted, it stays discreetly in the background.
UV-resistant, weatherproof materials and the patented tensioning technology guarantee years of protection and help integrate made-to-measure sun sails into daily life energy-efficiently.
