Pool with sun sail at the Attersee – made-to-measure protection for terrace and pool
On the shore of the Attersee, the pool area was long barely usable on sunny days – too hot, too little shade. A fully automatic, made-to-measure sun sail over pool and terrace changed that fundamentally. It combines technical precision with a clear design language and blends seamlessly into the glass façade and garden design of the modern detached house.
A two-sail system over pool and terrace
The made-to-measure sun sail spans generously across the entire outdoor area – from the lounge on the terrace to the pool edge. Fully automatically retractable and made in Austria, it combines technical precision with lines that blend seamlessly into the glass façade of the modern detached house at the Attersee.
Made to measure, fully automatic, made in Austria
Every element was custom-made to the conditions on site: geometry, stainless-steel mounts and positioning along the glass façade.
The retractable two-sail system provides large-area shade and reliably protects against low sun – without any compromise on comfort or the view of the lake.
Integrated via a bus system with a weather station, the system reacts automatically: when the sun comes out it extends; when the wind picks up it retracts.
The system can be operated via app, smart home or even by voice – the automatic retraction function in wind provides additional safety.
Motor drive and stainless-steel construction in Austrian manufactory quality: UV-resistant, water-repellent and maintenance-free – for year-round use around pool and terrace.
This turns a pool area that was barely usable on hot days into a year-round outdoor space that blends seamlessly into the overall picture, visually and technically.
Restrained, precise and durable: the sail blends into the clear design language of the house instead of overpowering it.
Does a sun sail work directly over the pool?
One of the most common questions in pool projects: does a sail withstand the moisture and the exposed position over the water in the long term? This project shows the answer. The retractable two-sail system is UV-resistant, water-repellent and corrosion-proof in stainless steel – ideal for permanent use over pool and terrace. In wind it retracts fully automatically, so the system and pool area are protected at all times.

We answer your questions.
Yes. The system is integrated via a bus system with a weather station and reacts automatically: when the sun comes out it extends; when the wind picks up it retracts. It can also be operated via app, smart home or even by voice.
The weather station detects rising wind and retracts the sail automatically. The system, pool and terrace are protected at all times, without anyone having to intervene.
Yes. The motor drive and construction are built in stainless-steel manufactory quality; the fabric is UV-resistant, water-repellent and maintenance-free – designed for permanent use around pool and terrace.
Yes. Geometry, mounts and positioning were custom-made along the glass façade. The clear lines defer to the building and preserve the open character of the outdoor area.
